The holiday events were designed/held for the majority to attend and won't get changed because a certain few can't attend...if you want to change when holidays are held, go to work for the US Gov't...

Want to spend the holidays with your family or in church? Then go and do so, leaving the game for those, who want to play, not pray.

An excellent suggestion. Ales, Four Leaf Clovers, Eggs and Bunnies - sounds like a PARTAY to me!!!!

I kinda think the holidays in-game aren't as fun when if they dont coincide with the real life holidays. Like wintersday (I know its meant to be a mixture of holidays) just wasnt anymore fun after xmas. I was just kinda tired of the holiday, didn't want to end it irl so I could spend a few more days of it in-game.

I think that OP is in bad situation making this kind of suggestion, because few regulars here have enough life to make "festivities with family/friends" viable option (or their family does not really celebrate it) and are happy there will be something to farm during those few days off school/work.

Hence /notsigned qq

Anyhoo-

Sort of /signed. I think the way to handle it would be to let the drops start on Thursday and have them end on Sunday night like other holiday events.

if they are going to have an easter event on time, like you want, then they should make it so that when your character dies in a party, you have to wait 3 days to get it back.
atleast monks that name names related to Jesus.

Apparently not modest enough.

Good idea though.

I've always thought it a poor play to put holiday events and the like on halloween and christmas, etc.

I'm sorry, but I'm going to spend my holidays with my friends, not logged in to some game.
Glad I didn't have to post it. :P

Considering that all that usually happens on minor events like Easter is that a few new drops are introduced, I don't believe you'll be missing out on too much.

Jonathan Swift made it hard for me to read "A Modest Proposal" with a straight face.

*nod* Modest proposals involve eating babies. Makes it hard to take the thread seriously.

One man's satire is another's pragmatism.

On topic, no. Having the events on widely celebrated public holidays allows people who have to work longer hours a better chance of not being stuck at at the office.

I propose the Irish should sell their kids to the English to be eaten and have gloves made from there skin... oh wait I think that "A Modest Proposal" of that type has already been made.

EDIT: Damn what I get for not having read all the posts Beat to it.

You're going to hell Blasphemer !

j/k

This is causing a lot of concern in certain communities. Many dioseces (sp?) are cancelling all St Patrick's day parades because of the timing.

It hasn't happened in 40 years but is a real problem with sceduling festivities during what is supposed to be a solemn time.
